"Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him, and will dine with him, and he with Me." Revelation 3:20 NAS
We are living toward the end of the Church Age, and, we are approaching the time of the "Parousia" (appearing) of our Lord Jesus Christ. This is the time in which the direct intervention of the Lord concerning His end-time purposes will intensify.
At this present time, "until the fullness of the Gentiles be come in" (Romans 11:25), each of us who have fully submitted our lives to the Lord are being made ready to have a part with Jesus in the setting-up and establishing of the Millennial Kingdom Age.
In his day, John the Baptist was "called apart" into a wilderness, so He could be prepared (made ready) for the appointed time, when he would introduce Jesus as the "Lamb of God. The following verse represents the transition from the Old Testament religious structure, given by Moses, to the Church, set in place by Jesus, at the time of His ascension.
"Annas and Caiaphas being the high priests, the word of God came to John the son of Zechariah in the wilderness." Luke 3:2
When John was asked who he was, his words reveal the deep inner work of preparation that has taken place in his life.
"He said, I am the voice of One crying in the wilderness, Make straight the way of the Lord, as said the prophet Isaiah." John 1:23
In effect, John said - "I am so emptied of self, that I have become the expression of not only the voice, but also, the heart feelings of another, in every aspect of my being."
So also today, there are those (you and I), who are being "moved upon" by the Holy Spirit in order to be "made ready," so that we also might respond, as John did in his day.
Our constant prayer should be that we might become so available to the Lord, that He can, at any time, speak through us "a present word" - a word that will turn both individuals and the nations to the Lord.
1. Our "knowing" the voice of the Lord.
2. Our being able to "recognize and respond" to His presence.
3. Our having a willingness to become the expression of His life in the earth, at this present time.
The intent of the materials offered on this website is to prepare a present day "corporate" John the Baptist, (you and I) to respond to the voice of our Lord, and become the expression of His life, among the nations of our day and time.
